I showed up a minute before closing, on my way home from working a stressful 15-hour day. I had 40 minutes to drive before getting home and need something to help keep me awake, as I was starting to doze behind the wheel. I was expecting to be greeted by people who wanted to lock up and go home without having to clean the blender again (since I wanted a Frappuccino) and was met instead by a joyful young woman who welcomed me warmly and was eager to serve me. As she started making my Frappuccino one of her colleagues came out from the back to ask about my day and see if he could get me anything else. Both associates were cheerful, outgoing and friendly. They not only gave me a great end to a super-busy and anxiety-filled day, but they also bolstered my confidence in the future of our nation. With young people like these two we'll be in great shape. Kudos to the owners and managers of this Starbucks for hiring and training impressive young people.
